December 20, 2019 | May 3rd, 2020

July 20th 1969 marked a leap forward for mankind, inconceivable until a few years before. The footprint left by Neil Armstrong, the first man to ever set foot on the moon – today an iconic shape in the popular imagination – represented the acknowledgement that the space age, that had begun with the launch of the Sputnik, would have revolved around human beings rather than robotics.

From December 20th 2019 to May 3rd 2020, M9 – Museum of the 20th Century will open the door to the interactive exhibition Lunar City. Live the experience, a journey to discover mysteries and curiosities about the Moon and the Solar System. A unique opportunity to learn more about the history of space exploration and its future challenges, throught a multimedia and interactive exhibition.

Lunar City. Live the experience is curated by Alessandra Bonavina, organized by M9 - Museum of the 20th Century and Next One Film Group, under the scientific supervision of ASI – Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, INAF – Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica and Mibac; in collaboration with NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Ambasciata Americana in Italia, ESA – European Space Agency and CNR - Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche.
